FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Free airplane ride for kids ages 8-17 at the St Lucie County Airport in Fort Pierce on Saturday November 3rd
As part of St. Lucie County Aviation Day, Chapter 908 of the
Experimental Aircraft Association a tenant at the airport will
provide children ages 8-17 a free airplane ride in a general
aviation airplane. The first flight is scheduled for 8
a.m. Participants shall receive a pre-flight and aviation safety
brief from seasoned pilots. Flights will take off between 8 am
and 12 noon. Written permission from a parent or guardian is
required and a pre-registration form is posted on the chapter web
site
www.eaa908.org. The day begins at the main terminal of the
airport where the registration and briefings are completed and where
children receive their pilot assignment.
Since 1994, the Fort Pierce EAA Chapter 908 has flown more than 1,200 children from our local community. Written permission from a parent or guardian is required before any child will be allowed to ride. Parents and Young Eagle candidates should log onto www.EAA908.org for Young Eagle pre-registration.
