After
only one and one half years Don White a Chapter
member and originally from from Boca Raton has
finished his "SEARAY" kit and has received
all his documentations and sign offs and is
cleared to go. Power is a 100 hp ROTAX 912S. Don
is no stranger to this aircraft, he has had 30
hours of training in this type. He says he will
be flying any day soon. The plane is in the
Chapter tie-down area. |
Here's
another anxious pilot waiting to say clear prop!
Ed Elder

his project airplane. Any day now. |
From the Airport

I just wanted to say a special thanks to you all

A reminder from Ron Knaggs
Hi All, I was recently informed that the
NTSA agency was to be visiting our field to
check on our perimeter security. While they
may not visit our side of the field, please
remember the following for the next several
months.
If you plan to be on the field alone, have
your badge available for inspection.
Keep the gate closed and locked if you do
not have direct control of persons using the
gate.
Challenge any person on our property that
does not have a badge or with whom you are
not familiar. The inspection team will be
trying to access airplanes if they can get
on the field unescorted.
PLEASE do not shoot these guys, just call
the airport or 911 if you do not wish to
challenge them face to face. I am told they
will not be resistant to challenges but will
be obviously not be our type of people,
whatever that means.
Ron
PS. If you are in a tie down, it might be
wise to lock the plane if you do not
already.

Tool Room additions.
Your Chapter has added some new equipment to
it's tool room inventory.
You now can now check your compression and
timing with new gauges.
Flat tire? the Chapter also acquired a bead
breaking machine which can handle most tires
from Larry Andrews ERCOUPE to anything that is
currently in the membership plane listing.
Further, there is a tire balancer that will also
work with most sizes of wheels.
Please remember to return tools borrowed from
the tool room. |
Taxes,
tides and Dues.
Dues reminders for 2008 will be sent out in late
December. New membership cards and new lock
combinations in late January. New combination
lock number will be
announced at the January meeting. |
How to install a
mailbox... again.

Thanks to Marvin Moriarty, Ron Knaggs and Tom Squeo
the Chapters mail will get through. When a semi 18
wheeler backs into the granite company across
the street the driver is to busy looking into
his mirrors to see what his tractor front wheels
are doing. (Crushing our mail box) This is the third box to be replaced.
